Inmate Search In Jacksonville Flor > The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office provides regularly updated information for individuals who wish to conduct an inmate search in Jacksonville, Florida. With a basic understanding of how online jail information is compiled and updated, conducting an inmate search is a simple process and will provide basic information about custody status.

How to Conduct an Inmate Search in Jacksonville, Florida

From the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) homepage, click on the sidebar link for “inmate information.” This link will take you to the “JSO Inmate Information Searchhome page. If you are looking for a specific individual, simply type in the full name or jail number (if known), and click search. If no inmate information is returned, there are several possible reasons: (1) the inmate bonded out or was released on his or her own recognizance; (2) the jail clerks misspelled the inmate’s name or made some other clerical error; (3) the inmate entered a plea and was released; (4) the person was never an inmate (or is being held in a different facility); or (5) the relevant jail records have not been updated.
If no name is returned in your search result, or if you don’t know the inmate’s full name or jail number, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office provides several other search methods. To use these other methods, click on the link for “Public Web Reports.” This will take you to the main “JSO Department of Corrections Web Reports” page. There, you will see three options for the “In Sheet,” “Out Sheet,” and “Tentative EOS Report.”

The “In Sheet” displays the admit date and time of every inmate that was booked in the Jacksonville, Duval County Jail (John E. Goode Pre-Trial Detention Facility). Click on a calendar date and, for the date chosen, a listing will appear for every person taken in on that day. The In Sheet displays the jail number, JSO ID, race, sex, date of birth, name, age, admit date and time, and last known home address of each person in custody. This method of searching is particularly useful if an inmate has bonded out, has been released, or if the jail personnel happened to misspell a name or commit some other data error.

The “Out Sheet” displays the release date and time for every inmate who has been released from JSO custody at the jail. It shows the facility where the inmate was housed, jail number, race, age, name, date of birth, sex, the release date and time, and the reason for the defendant’s release. This method is useful where an individual, once known to be an inmate, is no longer shown on the inmate information search page.
